Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins returned to practice on Friday after missing Thursday’s session with an undisclosed illness, and said he expects to play Sunday against the New York Giants.

“It was only a couple hours off,” Hopkins said on Friday. “I’m 100 percent.”

Hopkins has seven catches on 10 targets for 111 yards and two touchdowns in two games this season, his second since being drafted 27th overall out of Clemson. Hopkins scores lead the team, as does his 76-yard catch-and-run in Week 1 against Washington, Houston’s longest play from scrimmage this season. Hopkins catches, targets and yards are second behind wide receiver Andre Johnson.

“He’s a guy that really has had a good offseason for us, had a really good training camp, just a young receiver with I think a heck of a future,” head coach Bill O’Brien said Friday. “He’s a guy that will get better and better because of his work ethic.”
